Københoved Accommodation is situated in beautiful surroundings close to the road. We have 3 new and modern furnished apartments, where there is room for bed and breakfast accommodation on a daily or weekly basis. We are located just 2 miles from Hærvejsruten and with a number of worth seeing cities and places within a half hour drive. With us you can combine peace and tranquility and natural beauty with Vejens central location.
Our bed and breakfast is used both by tourists for short holidays, for weekly holidays and for craftsman night.

Københoved Forest is a private accommodation, where you can stay overnight or for a holiday in a beautiful countryside. We are situated in the vicinity of Legoland, close to Vejen, Holsted, Rødding and Gram in South of Jylland Denmark. Our appartments are modern and well-equipped. The ancient road Hærvejen goes past our door, so you can sleep in shelters or tents close to our bathing lake and there are fishing opportunities in Kongeåen. Longer periods of stay because of work are also possible.
Tourisme price
Today the 13 Maj 2011 we received the Tourisme price.
The award is given to a tourist operator who is appreciated of having attracted tourists to Vejen commune through an extraordinary effort.
We were visited by 15 people from Development Vejen, colleagues and members of the Tourism Development Group under Development Vejen and Skrave Lokalråd. Director Tage Sørensen gave a speech for us. We got a diploma and a vase of pottery made by artist Randi Platz. It was a really nice day, where the participants were shown around the lake and in the apartments. At the end we got coffee and layer cake.

Fine visit
We have had a fine visit to our lake. 2 swans or a pair of swans. They have been here a few days and it's exciting to see if they are going to stay here. We also have a pair of ducks who come every day and I do not know if they go somewhere else and eat. They are not here all day. Yesterday there was a grebe. It was quite fun to watch it dive. It's actually a long time under water. A few evenings ago there were as many as 9 deer in two flocks, which was grazing in a field. It is the largest number I've seen at once in the 12 years we have lived here. Yes, I forgot our male pheasent that goes around the patio while trying to find a girl, I think. I doubt he is successfull, at least he gets a slightly larger radius of his territory.
Fireplace with grill
So now we've got a fireplace with grill - a fairly large one. There is room for a couple of sausages with bread or whatever you could imagine. There is also a rose plate, so that you can make a big pancake of approx. 100 cm in diameter. You can also make small pancakes.
If you feel like it you are welcome to come and barbecue. Admission is free.
Hunting tower as an observation tower
As something new we've got a hunting tower. Of course you are not allowed to shoot from it, but everyone is allowed to climb up and enjoy the view with binoculars or camera, or just sit quietly and watch animals and birds. It is open 24 hours a day. So be so good and take a look at the view.
Amphibian lake Københoved
We have established a bathing lake on our property. It is placed in the middle of an open area and there is no vegetation around the lake. But you should not expect that there will be opportunities for fishing. We dont put neither fish or ducks out. The lake is made for optimal conditions so that toads and frogs can breed. It requires hot water, and that we gain by letting the sun shine on the water surface. Therefore there will be no vegetation around.
Shelters and fireplace
From summer 2010 you can stay overnight in the open and out in the open in our new shelters. You can fall asleep with a view of a starlit night and wake up and have eye contact with a few deers, maybe.
Københoved Forest Accommodation site is located relatively far from major cities and is sheltered by a larg forest area. This means that there is not city lights that disrupts your prospect for the summers starlit sky. Or winter for that matter.
Over the winter we have made a natural area with shelters, where there is opportunity to spend the night outdoors. Also in tent.
There is also a firer place with benches, all situated down by our beautifull bathing lake.
And we also have a public handicap toilet, with shower that you are free to use.
